Farewell

Farewell ceremony for the SSLC 2017-18 batch was held on the 17th of March 2018 at The Indiranagar Cambridge School. The boys in their dark suits and girls in their blue sarees were elegance & smartness personified. The little boys and girls had grown up and at the threshold of entering the real world leaving the cocooned environment of the school.

The ceremony began with a soulful rendition of a prayer song followed by lighting of the lamp by the Principal and Vice Principal, symbolic of positive brightness in the lives of the students. The Principal in his address emphasized that each one is unique and is blessed with a special talent. All one needs to do is to search for that quality, magnify it and use it for the betterment of the society.

The highlight of the day was the "Mr & Miss Cambridge Contest". All the students participated with great gusto vying for the most coveted title to be won in the school. After three exhaustive and fun filled rounds, Rahul Kumar Parida and Shirisha S emerged as Mr. Cambridge & Miss Cambridge respectively. Aravindhan and Shirisha were elected Mr. Congeniality and Miss. Congeniality respectively.

The atmosphere wore a sombre look when the students in all their sincerity participated in the Oath taking ceremony with the glowing candle in their hands. The students took a trip down memory lane as the teachers who taught them throughout the years spoke to them and wished them well. It was indeed a day of mixed feelings and emotions for the students. Sad, that their school days had come to an end and excited, to see what the world has in store for them.
