Safety Measures

The Indiranagar Cambridge School relentlessly strives towards creating an environment that is safe and responsive to the Students and Staff. Following are the steps implemented to reinforce the already existing safety measures.

  • The school has a check-in procedure for visitors during the school hours. Although we encourage parents to visit our school, please keep in mind check-in procedures apply to all visitors as part of our access control measures. Visitors should be prepared to state the nature of their visit and sign a guest register at the entry. The Parents are required to produce the Parent Authentication card during all School visits, else will have to sign the Visitor’s Register. Our procedures are structured to help ensure the safety of all students and staff.
  • Floor vigilance officers are present during the Short Break and Lunch Break in the Ground floor, First Floor, Second Floor and the Third Floor aiding in maintaining the discipline. Floor managers are assigned period-wise duty in all the floors throughout the day.
  • Prefects of the Four Houses are assigned month-wise duties in each floor
  • The School building is equipped with 123 CCTV cameras, covering all classrooms, corridors, common areas and Administrative Block.
  • A Student Counselor is present in the School on all working days and conducts workshops on various Life Skill topics for all classes. The topic of “Good Touch and Bad touch” has been covered and emphasized upon for all the classes. The Counselor conveys the message through Story Telling sessions to the younger children wherein the children enjoy as well as understand what is being conveyed.
  • Parent Teacher Committee has been formed comprising Four Parents and four Teachers representing Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle and High School and will meet on a monthly basis.
  • The Kindergarten students are collected by their parents from their respective classrooms at 12 Noon.
  • The Class I and Class II students are brought to the classrooms in the Ground Floor at 2:30pm. The parents of Class I and II students are given access only to these rooms.
  • Parents seeking to talk to the teachers between 2.45pm and 3:15pm are made to wait in the Prep-2 classroom in the Ground floor. The requests made by the parents are recorded. The concerned teachers will meet the parents in this classroom. Parents are not allowed to go beyond the Ground floor.
  • Student Grievance and Parent Suggestion Boxes are made available in the foyer.
  • Details of the Child Helpline and Police Helpline have been made available to the children.
  • Stringent norms are in place to check if all the students have left after the School. Teachers stay back in the classroom until the last child walks out. After ensuring that the classrooms and washrooms are vacant, they are promptly locked.
  • Parents need to mandatorily produce the Parent authentication Card/ Walker's Pass if they have to (i) Visit the School for Fee Payment or any other purpose (ii) Collect their children during school hours or at the end of the day.
  • Students who go back home on their own, need to compulsorily carry the Walker's Pass on a daily basis. Else, they will be retained in the School.
